Daniel Rich
OC Volleyball Ministry

Daniel was born and raised a southern boy in Lexington, South Carolina.  He played football all through high school.  He has been involved with FCA since middle school.  He accepted Jesus when he was in 8^th grade conference where Adrian Dupree spoke.  Daniel’s football coach actually led Adrian to Jesus in college, and then Adrian led Daniel. God is creative how he works.  Daniel finally got really passionate about being a slave for Jesus in College at Clemson University while being involved with FCA there.

Daniel came on staff in December of 2008 in a new position focusing on sports specific ministry.  The sport he is focusing on is Volleyball; he is a avid beach volleyball player down at Huntington Beach where he lives.  Daniel played volleyball for Clemson’s Club team and mostly played beach volleyball tournaments through out college. Daniel is very excited about being on the FCA staff which is full of fun, exciting, and great people; and growing!

Daniel’s favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 9:19-22. He really misses hunting and fishing back in South Carolina, but since moving here in May of 2008 he is starting to love southern Cal.  He now enjoys making new friends, working out, playing volleyball, and sharing what God has done to transform him into what he is now.  Ha, and you should see him trying to surf!

Well as many of you know my love for volleyball especially beach volleyball. And you might be getting wind for my biggest passion... to show and lead others to a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! It's amazing to see exactly how the Lord has gotten me here from South Carolina were we hardly have sand courts. He has been a very faithful shepherd through everything. I have already been very blessed to meet and become connect to many pro-level players, college players, high school players, parents, and coaches at all levels.

My goal is to find volleyball players like me who share the passion to follow and bring all the glory Jesus for our gifts and passions in our sport. Then making a visible movement inside of the volleyball community that is loving and inviting to every volleyball player in college and high schools in Orange County. We are in the process of discerning what this new ministry is going to look like and how it can be most effective in our area. I'm so excited to see how God is going to set this up!
