Daniel Rich FCA Volleyball Director
Daniel has been heading up FCA VB since its birth in December of 2008. He grew up as a drug baby (drug to church every weekend) in South Carolina and went to college at Clemson University. College was where everything changed for him. God started getting him ready to live for something higher then himself. The major turning point was in Feb '07 when he tore his ACL in a basketball game. Because of the injury he didn't have sports to focus on, so God used that as a time to teach him to focus on what Jesus did for him.
It was at this point that Daniel finally did what God asked us to do, seek Him daily. While rehabbing his knee, God started giving him the dream to go back to playing volleyball and using it as a way to serve Him. That is how FCA Volleyball got started! It has been amazing to see what God can do when a competitive athlete humbles himself and steps out on faith to live for things that are much greater then he.
OUR VOLUNTEERS:
Coaches: We probably have the highest quality people on a consistent basis who give their time and share their phenomenal skills with our players. We have head coaches from top colleges in Orange County, and current and past players in the AVP and on national teams. The Vanguard clinic in March was a great showing of what kind of quality is joining around FCA volleyball! Assistant Coaches: 90% of our staff are currently college players! They are some of the most amazing students I have ever met with a passion for serving the players. They are highly skilled and very good at what they do, especially with huge smiles on their faces! |
