Marina Mayer

Marina was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Irvine with her parents and older sister.  She quickly developed a love for the pool and being outside, as she was always an active child.  Trying a number of sports, Marina decided she loved swimming, and continued it competitively when she began water polo in fourth grade. 

Marina discovered her desire and need for God around the same time, fourth grade, and gave her life over to Jesus at a camp in Forrest Home.  She grew in her love for both water polo and the Lord, and the Lord became her Rock as her mother battled a serious cancer for almost 4 years.  Marina went on to compete in water polo for the University of Southern California, where she experienced the goodness of God every day.

Marina joined the Orange County FCA staff in April 2008.  She is excited to be a part of FCA and to serve the Lord in walking alongside athletes and coaches in every day things.
